PART 1 - Tint & Shade Exercise
In your sketchbook, complete a tint & shade exercise just like the example below. Create a total of 11 swatches using the following structure starting with the Primary Colours.
Steps:
- Primary Colour = 5th section in from left
- Complementary Colour = far right (11th section)
- Tint = moving left from the Primary Colour, add increasing amounts of white
- Darken = moving right from Primary Colour, add increasing amounts of the Complimentary Colour
Example:

Create a colour theory chart using your own radial design in your sketchbook with acrylic paint!
Steps:
- Create a unique radial design (or multiple designs that work together)
- You will need 12 sections for your design to integrate the colours: Yellow, Yellow-Red, Orange, Red-Orange, Red, Red Violet, Violet, Blue-Violet, Blue, Blue-Green, Green, Yellow-Green.
Examples:
Create a colour theory chart using your own radial design in your sketchbook with acrylic paint!

- Create a unique radial design (or multiple designs that work together)
